The places to investigate
Srem · Срем, Sinapovo · Синапово, Hanovo · Ханово
These rural areas have featured in older British property buyer accounts. Current population and community activity must be verified locally.
Meet the place, not just the people you've read about.
Before you make the move
Visit outside peak season, ask residents and officials about community activities, and confirm local businesses and services directly. Online groups and individual stories may no longer reflect who's living locally.
Everyday essentials
- Check doctors and pharmacies, year-round shops, and realistic transport routes.
- Test home internet and heating requirements at the particular address.
- Meet Bulgarian neighbours and learn basic Bulgarian phrases.
- Arrange independent legal and building checks before buying a property.
